Who We Are
We exist because young Africans deserve systems that are built around their realities, their potential, and their future.
Our Vision
An Africa where young people thrive in systems that protect wellbeing, enable meaningful work, and sustain community-led solutions.
Our Mission
To strengthen mental wellbeing, expand pathways to empowerment and decent work, and support the sustainability of local organizations by designing people-centered systems that equip young Africans to shape resilient and inclusive futures.
Our Core Pillars
Everything we do is anchored in three things, because we believe lasting change only happens when you address the whole person, not just the problem in front of you.
-
Mental Wellbeing Systems
Because you cannot build a future you don't have the strength to imagine. We make mental health support real, local, and within reach.
-
Pathways to Empowerment and Decent Works
Skills without opportunity is just potential left on the table. We connect young people to the guidance, networks, and doors that open futures.
-
Local Organizational Sustainability
Impact fades when institutions can't hold it. We strengthen the organizations closest to young people so the work outlasts any single program
Our Approach
Our work is guided by the RISE Framework, a model we designed not just to describe how we work, but to shape how young Africans build resilient, empowered lives and communities.
R
Resilience
We invest in mental wellbeing tools and frameworks that help young people adapt, endure, and grow through challenge.
I
Innovation
We adopt solutions designed for other contexts, we design with young Africans for the realities they actually live in.
S
Sustainability
Projects that champion genuine long-term impact that outlast programs, funding cycles, and any single generation.
E
Empowerment
Giving people the agency, tools, and confidence to shape their own lives and communities.
Programs and Initiatives
We don’t try to pay off youth. We build structured programs that move young people forward in their wellbeing, their careers, and their capacity to learn.

The GBG Program was genuinely practical and transformative. It went beyond motivation and focused on clarity, positioning, execution, networking, and professional growth. What stood out most was how intentional the sessions and assignments were. They forced participants to think deeply about who they are, what they bring, and where they are headed professionally. I also appreciated that the program treated students like emerging professionals, not just learners. Overall, GBG helped me think more strategically about visibility, execution, and long-term growth.Joy Ozioma Obianika GBG Cohort 1 Participant
Joining this programme was honestly a turning point for me. Before now, I struggled a lot with confidence, communication, and how to present myself professionally. Through the assignments, reflections, and weekly sessions, I became more disciplined, self-aware, and intentional about my personal growth. One thing I really appreciate is that the programme did not just teach theories, it pushed me to think deeply about myself, my strengths, my weaknesses, and my future direction. The activities helped me improve my communication, professionalism, and mindset towards growth. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this experience, and I truly believe the lessons and habits I built during these weeks will continue to help me beyond school and into my career journey.Ogunleye Samuel GBG Cohort 1 Participant
I didn’t join Growth Beyond Grades on a whim. After i stumbled on the program on LinkedIn .I took time to review the curriculum, structure, and expectations. Once I was convinced it aligned with what I needed, I applied. I was glad when my application was accepted. The program was truly transformative. It went far beyond motivation or generic advice. Three areas stood out for me: Career Blueprint, Identity Reset, and Communication & Repositioning. The Career Blueprint sessions helped me move from confusion to clarity. I now have a clear direction, defined goals, and practical steps to pursue opportunities intentionally instead of just hoping things work out. The Identity Reset module was powerful. It challenged me to examine my self-image, limiting beliefs, and who I truly am. This process helped me let go of doubts and build a stronger, more confident sense of self. The effects are still active,I now approach situations with greater self-awareness and self-belief. Communication and Repositioning taught me how to express my ideas clearly, carry myself with purpose, and reposition my personal brand. These skills have already improved how I relate with people and present myself in both personal and professional settings. Overall, Growth Beyond Grades helped me build discipline, consistency, and intentionality. The combination of weekly sessions, assignments, and peer interactions created real and lasting change. I’m still applying the principles I learned, and I can see the difference in my mindset and daily actions. I’m grateful I took the decision to join and complete the program. It has shaped me positively and continues to shape my growth journey. I highly recommend Growth Beyond Grades to any young person ready to invest in themselves. Thank you to the facilitators and the entire team for this impactful experience.Oladokun David Abiola GBG -Cohort 1
I came into the Growth Beyond Grades mentorship program knowing how to do the work. What I didn't know was how to explain it, position it, or turn it into a direction. Six weeks later, I have all three; and a Career Clarity Blueprint that lays out exactly where I'm going and what I'm doing in the next 90 days to get there. That kind of clarity is rare. And this program gave it to me for free. What makes R-WEF different as an organization is something I felt from the inside: they are not importing solutions designed for someone else's reality and hoping they land. Everything about Growth Beyond Grades (the frameworks, the assignments, the way the program is structured) was built around the actual experience of being a young African student that is navigating the gap between education and the world of work. That specificity is very rare, and that's what makes the impact real rather than theoretical. R-WEF is the kind of organization that gives you a system. They understand that mental wellbeing and professional development are not separate conversations, that you cannot build a future you're too overwhelmed to imagine, and they design their work around that truth. That whole-person approach is exactly what this generation needs, and almost no one is doing it this intentionally! They treated us like professionals before we fully believed we were, and that made all the difference. I cannot recommend Growth Beyond Grades enough to any young African student who is doing real work but struggling to articulate it. This program will show you exactly what you already have, and give you the structure to act on it! If R-WEF is building something, they are doing it with intention, rigor, and genuine care for the people they serve. You want to be in the room!Chiemeke Emmanuella .E. Growth Beyond Grades - Cohort 1
